CURRENTLY REORGANIZING
The Pastoral Council consists of representatives of our parish who through prayer, study and discernment provide advice to the pastor. Additionally, the council promotes parish life and encourages the congregation to become involved in the church community.

The pastoral council is a collaborative ministry between laity and religious founded on the belief that all baptized persons are gifted and called to the mission of Jesus Christ. Those who participate in cooperative ministry recognize and believe in the presence of the Holy Spirit.

Nominations are held in April, and new members are selected by the Pastoral Council, through discernment, in June. Each term is for three years. Self-nominations are always accepted. Any parishioner may attend meetings, although they cannot vote on issues before the council.

Pastoral Council Members

The Pastoral Council can be easily identified by the yellow lanyard and nametag that we all wear. We would love to hear from you if you have any concerns, recommendations or comments. Please stop any one of us and get to know more about what we do and can do for you, the parishioners.

Any of the Pastoral Council members will be happy to share not only more information with you about the process but also the fulfillment they have received from their service. I can assure you that we work hard, pray often and have fun.

If you feel that you are being called to serve on the Council, you are welcome to nominate yourself. Nominations of persons interested in helping may be made by individuals or ministries as well. The nomination process usually opens in March. Nominating forms will be available in the gathering space at the information desk or on our parish website. Interviews are conducted in May, and selections of new Council members are made in June.

We require that a candidate must be a baptized Catholic in full communion with the Roman Catholic Church, registered in the parish for at least one year and at least 18 years of age. You may review the nomination form and qualifications before actually filling out the electronic form.
