The Knights of Columbus invite you to come pray the rosary with us. Let’s pray for peace in our community, our state, our nation and the world. Fifth Sunday in January at 9:15 a.m. in the church.
January is the month of the Most Holy Name of Jesus. Let's console His Sacred Heart because He is most offended from the casual and blasphemous use of His Holy Name. Console His Sacred Heart in Adoration on first Friday, January 6.
The Funeral Ministry will be dedicating the sanctuary candle above the tabernacle in memory of a person who had their funeral at SJRG in the year 2022. This will begin on Jan 1, 2023, and be posted in the bulletin.
The Mass will continue to be live-streamed on Facebook on Saturday afternoons at 4:00 pm Mountain Standard Time. Beginning on November 13th, the Mass will no longer be aired on the YouTube platform due to the time and staff required to upload it. Those who would like to view the Mass online or on television are encouraged to view the options that are available on the Archdiocesan website.
You may have heard that the rosary is being weaponized. The rosary was ALWAYS a weapon. Our Blessed Virgin Mother gave it to us as a weapon to defeat heresy. Our Lord, through the Blessed Virgin, has given it new power to defeat heresy and solve problems in our times. Say the rosary as a family at home. Say the rosary as a parish family at Church. Say the rosary in the car. Say the rosary.
Find an Adoration time for First Fridays at other churches, if there is not one at St Joseph on the Rio Grande. We are pilgrims on a journey; this world is not our home. Come spend time with Jesus on the First Friday. Remember Our Lord Jesus does not need to be exposed in a monstrance for you to adore Him. Jesus is knocking on the door of our hearts. Let Him in.
